Steve Pavey
Steve is an applied anthropologist, activist and artist. His scholarly interests focus on the political-economy of social problems critically examined at the nexus of structural power and community agency. This commitment to engaged scholarship, grounded in the methods and theories of community-based collaborative research, hopes to address inequities and shape more just and sustainable communities. Steve is particularly interested in the connections within his work between the arts, participatory research and community development. His current research and activism is with undocumented youth organizing for the Dream Act and immigrant rights. In his new capacity with One Horizon, he hopes to harness these interests towards the development of a critical missiological anthropology.
